President Donald Trump has no plans to sanction or otherwise China, CNN’s senior White House reporter Kevin Liptak said on Friday  despite accusing the country of interfering in the 2020 election only last night.
The president is also preparing for President Xi Jinping’s visit to the U.S. next month, Liptak added.
It’s actually shaping up to be a pretty opulent affair, kind of reciprocating the visit that President Trump made to Beijing a few months ago,” the reporter said.
Liptak continued, “And not even the president’s claim last night that China is carrying out , quote, the largest compromise of election data in history seems to be getting in the way of this visit.
And according to my reporting, the president is also not considering any other punishments on China.”
Reporters asked the White House today if Trump is considering sanctions or even “potential indictments on the Chinese officials that the President claims illicitly acquired 220 million U.S. voter files,” Liptak said, adding, “They didn’t respond.”
This inaction is a strong indication Trump has no  appetite at this moment to upend his relationship with Xi Jinping, an d it was fascinating.”
The Trump administration shared documents to the public in support the president’s claim following his speech on Thursday night.
“In late August 2020, the Chinese government had produced a large amount of fraudulent United States drivers licenses that were secretly exported to the United States,” the FBI file read.
“The fraudulent drivers licenses would allow tens of thousands of Chinese students and immigrants sympathetic to the Chinese Communist Party to vote for US Presidential Candidate USPER Joe ((Biden)), despite not being eligible to vote in the United States.”
The documents further accused the Chinese government of using the data files of millions of TikTok users to interfere with the election.
