Police say the suspect has taken at least one hostage at a Chase Bank in downtown Bakersfield.

Now over the radio we could hear someone talking about a subject coming into the bank yelling, "Everyone stay down on the ground." And that it looked like the
suspect may have rigged a tripwire to the hostages legs.
Streets around the area are closed.
Evacuations are in progress right now.
We understand FBI negotiators are headed to the scene from here in Los Angeles. They should be in Bakersfield within the hour.
