Tonight, the major revelation in the search for Kristin Smart. 
Investigators now say they found evidence suggesting human remains were present at the home of her killer's mother.

So, we can't call it Kristin, but you know, um we think there's there's evidence to support human remains. 
It's been 30 years since Smart disappeared. 
Paul Flores was convicted of her murder in 2022, but her body was never recovered. 
The San Luis Obispo Sheriff now says new information allowed authorities to execute a search warrant this week at the home of Flores' mother, Susan. 
Investigators are using forensic technology, including ground-penetrating radar and soil analysis, to detect potential traces of human remains. 
The sheriff vowing to leave no stone unturned. 
>> We are not leaving that house until we are sure that we have checked everything. 
We have not recovered Kristin yet, but our search goes on. 
David, the sheriff says this search could still take quite some time. 
The Smart family says they are hopeful this could finally solve the mystery.
