So, what is the latest from President Trump about negotiations with the Iranian regime?

President Trump is now telling reporters with the New York Post today that they should just stay in Pakistan as further negotiations with the Iranian regime could be happening in Islamabad over the next 2 days.
He also says that the regime has called the US saying that they quote very badly want to make a deal, but reiterates that the US is non-negotiable
condition for that deal is that Iran cannot possess a nuclear weapon.

There'll never be a deal.
Iran will not have a nuclear weapon and we're going to get the dust back.
Mr. President We'll get it back either we'll get it back from them or we'll take it.
Vice President Pence led the first round of in-person talks in Pakistan over the weekend which ultimately did not yield a lasting agreement.
He says the regime is engaging in a quote act of economic terrorism against the entire world resorting to it as their only course of action as their military has been decimated.
And if the Iranians are going to try to engage in economic terrorism,
we're going to abide by a simple principle that no Iranian ships are getting out either.
The Vice President saying that the US has the cards, the military advantage, and the economic leverage applied through the blockade on Iranian oil coming out of the Hormuz Strait, but that the Iranians determine what happens next.
We must have the enriched material out of Iran.
We must have their conclusive commitment to not develop a nuclear weapon.
If they're not willing to meet us there, that's up to them.
That's their decision and really the ball is very much in their court.
This coming as CENTCOM announces more than 10,000 US sailors, Marines, and airmen along with over a dozen warships and dozens of aircraft are executing the mission to blockade ships entering and departing Iranian ports.
During the first 24 hours, no ships made it past the US blockade and six merchant vessels complied with direction from US forces to turn around to re-enter an Iranian port on the Gulf of Oman.
The blockade is being enforced impartially against the vessels of all nations entering or departing Iranian ports and coastal areas including all Iranian ports on the Arabian Gulf and Gulf of Oman.
US forces are supporting freedom of navigation for vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz to and from non-Iranian ports.
What President Trump has done has taken that leverage, taken Iran trying to hold the entire world's economies hostage, has taken that off the table.
now with this action.
I mean, we cannot have a genocidal regime with its finger on a nuclear button. Period.
Meanwhile,
in a historic first in decades,
Secretary of State Marco Rubio hosting direct peace talks between Israel and Lebanon at the State Department in Washington.
Rubio calls the meeting a historic opportunity to outline a framework for lasting peace as the two sides discuss a ceasefire and the disarmament of Hezbollah.
This is about bringing permanent end to 20 or 30 years of Hezbollah's influence in this part of the world.

Meanwhile, Steve, President Trump is
urging Congress to quickly renew a law known as FISA Section 702 before it expires next Monday.
That's April 20th.
President Trump says that he was a victim of illegal FISA abuses during the 2016 and 2020 elections, but now he says that he's willing to risk uh future abuses saying quote the fact is whether you like FISA or not, it is extremely important to our military.
I have spoken to many generals about this and they consider it vital.
Not one said even tacitly that they can do without it especially right now with our brilliant military operation in Iran.
