Rescue workers in Laos have safely evacuated four more minors who have been trapped in a flooded cave for 10 days.
Now this video shows the moment the last of those men made it out.
The organization Rescue Volunteer for People says on its Facebook page that the water level inside the cave receded to where the trapped men could leave with divers who were sent in to save them.
Remy
Inocencio has the very latest from our London newsroom.
Remy, good morning.
>> Hey, good morning there Kelly. And yes,
a wonderful way to start with some good news here.
And according to that Lao rescue group, yes, the divers went in to deliver food and water and then they realized that the water level had fallen low enough so they all tried to get out together.
And as we just saw, they did successfully.
Those men being helped
into the sunlight after 10 days in darkness.
We saw people hugging each other, wailing at the relief that they basically did not die uh after they went in reportedly looking for gold, but then they were sealed in here from flash floods and then landslides.
floods and then landslides. Uh this happiness comes less than a day though after the first person was rescued.
Last night, a 23-year-old man where one diver went in front of him, one behind.
He was given an extra regulator breathing device and then they went in single file out back into the light through brown waters.
A cave tunnel that we understand at its narrowest point was only about 1 and 1/2 ft wide.
Uh but it was only after 8 days.
This was back on Wednesday when divers found them alive.
This was in a small cavern.
They saw the five men crouched on rocks above the flood waters.
So that is the the happy story here.
There is a little bit more to this though because there are two more men with that group.
Rescuers right now are deciding if they'll try to continue the search for them today.
It's in the late afternoon there or to try again tomorrow.
There are no signs of life for them so far, but with the success of these five of the seven, there is still very much hope that they're some place inside and alive.
>> So much hope, so much excitement.
I couldn't get over this story this morning when I saw it.
We're all around the world so excited for these men and holding out hope for the other two.
Remy, thank you so much.
