Congress was on a two-e break over Easter.
We didn't hear boo about this.
They come back and they're still fussing around trying to get it done.
Well, they're getting paid, so they're not in a hurry.
Look, I was up on Hill numerous times meeting with members of Congress, talking about what ICE does, what ICE doesn't do, what Boruto does and doesn't do, which is even more important.
And they're trying to change the law through the appropriations process.
They want to legislate uh things that prevent ICE from doing things.
They don't want to reform ICE.
They say reform ICE.
They want handcuff ice like they were the last four years under Joe Biden.
You know, things like, well, we want body cameras.
Well, we already addressed the body cameras.
We're implementing nationwide.
Matter of fact, the funding you're holding up is going to give us $120 million to buy more body cameras.
They want to talk about sensor location.
You know, can't arrest a sensor locations.
And I I responded, give me one instance.
Will you arrest an alien inside of a hospital, inside of a church, or inside of elementary school?
What's the problem?
You can't point to one instance that happened.
The only one that violated the sanctity of a church was John Lemon and his group.
So, you know, they they they want to change the law through the appropriation, what's never been done before.
If they don't like what ICE is doing, then legislate new laws and put it in federal statute, and that's what we'll do.

We have contractors that put surveillance balloons in the air and and have this modern technology of of wire taps and T3s and and and all the sophisticated equipment that the big beautiful bill bought and that we had prior to that.
We have a lot of contractors keep those things moving.
You know, for instance, my security I'm I'm my own security detail.
their credit cards are maxed out, right?
Because the the the travel cards aren't being paid because of shutdown.
And there's agents across the country and 20,000 men and women in ICE, they travel a lot doing these criminal investigations and credit cards are being maxed out.
So, it's really putting a dent and how how we're enforcing law, especially during a time of a of of heightened threat posture because what's going on in the world, national security is extremely important right now.
It should be a nonpartisan issue to fund the Department of Homeland Security.

I think a lot of people don't have the full perspective on this.
Yes, there is money for ICE and CBP up until the end of 2028, but that's for enforcement and removal operations.
There there's a whole other set of layers to CBP and ICE that aren't being funded.

A lot a lot of our work is done by really smart people and and contracted companies that do sophisticated stuff like targeting, right?
We you know we have we have we have partners that use I got to be careful what I say it's law enforcement sensor but they look at various databases

So the men and women carrying a badge and gun, they're being paid.
But the people that make it possible for us to do what we do, even the even the the mission support staff who who make sure that the the vehicles the the fleets being maintained, we're getting gas in the vehicles, power is being turned on to these buildings, travel vouchers are being paid.
The most important some sometimes think the most important part of ICE are the mission support people who don't carry a badge and gun.
But if they didn't do what they did, we couldn't do what we do.
