Overnight, at least one American testing positive for haunt virus and another showing mild symptoms while on board their repatriation flight.
According to the Department of Health and Human Services, officials say the two were traveling in the plane's bioontainment units out of an abundance of caution.
All 17 Americans and one British national who live in America returned home.
The plane landing around 4:00 a.m. in Omaha, Nebraska. The passengers deplaning one at a time, taken straight to the National Quarantine Center at the University of Nebraska to be evaluated.
The American who tested for the Andes strain of the virus is being treated by the university's bioontainment unit.
CDC initially announcing there will be no mandatory quarantine for those who aren't showing symptoms.
They will be allowed to either go home and self monitor for 42 days or stay at the quarantine center.
Those remaining Americans among the last group of passengers allowed to leave the Dutch cruise ship after officials in Cape Verde denied their request to dock because of health concerns.
Red military buses then carrying them via police escort to the airport.
Some gave a thumbs up.
They were then sprayed with disinfectant before boarding the plane.
Eight on board the ship contracting the rodent born haunt virus.
At least three have died, including Leo Schilperude, believed to be the first victim.
The crews traveled to some of the most remote islands in the world, like Tristan Dunia, an island of about 200 people.
This video capturing British paratroopers parachuting in with medics and supplies after a suspected case of haunt virus was confirmed.
The World Health Organization stressing that if you were not on that boat, the risk remains low.
And as for the ship, the last few on board will be removed today. We're waiting for an update from officials here in Omaha as we wait to learn what's next for these Americans finally back
