All right, we're going to move on to this because in the Middle East, the US and Iran have exchanged or have been exchanging strikes overnight. Maline Rivera joins us from Washington DC with the latest on these strikes.Â
Maddie, good morning. Good morning. The US says it was able to stop six missiles that Iran fired towards Kuwait and Bahrain.Â
A seventh missile did not reach its target.Â
Satcom says Iran launched the missiles after the US shot down four Iranian one-way attack drones that were heading towards the street of Hermuz.Â
The US also hit Iranian coastal surveillance radar sites in Gorak and on Keshim Island.Â
The latest exchange comes as the US and Iran struggle to reach a deal.Â
The president says part of the reason why Iran hasn't agreed to his terms is because they're proud.Â
>> But if they're so desperate, Mr. president. Why haven't they said yes to the terms you're proposing?Â

There are things they never thought they'd be doing that they're going to have to do. They've got no choice. And it takes a little while.Â
You know, you're talking about 47 years of getting away with whatever they wanted.Â

Most of the drone factories have been knocked out.Â
Most of the uh launching pads have been knocked out.Â
And most of the missile manufacturing areas have been knocked out, but they still have capacity.Â
Uh they have some missiles.Â

I would say uh percentage-wise maybe 21 22% of their missiles. It's a lot of missiles, but it's not what it was when we first attacked.Â
An Iranian military adviser says Iran must have access to billions of dollars in frozen assets, calling it trust building.Â
Until then, he indicates negotiations may remain at a standstill.Â
