And what I discovered is that, um, state-sanctioned actors like Russia are heavily utilizing cryptocurrency to launder their funds.
And specifically, uh, I've spent, um, the past few months exposing a new recent development of Russia creating their own stablecoin for sanctions evasion.
The stablecoin is called A7A5.
It processed over a hundred billion dollars in cumulative volume in 2025 alone.
And so last month, uh, 26 senior MPs, on the back of my work, wrote to the UK Foreign Secretary urging sanctions on, uh, enablers of this Russian stablecoin.
Last week, the government, uh, did sanction, um, these enablers.
But then what came as a surprise to me is that I myself was sanctioned by Russia in response to this.

>> Exactly.
So, um, it it was an interesting turn of events, um, but the sanctions don't intimidate me.
It tells me that I've touched enough with my work, um, and so clearly I'm looking in the right place.
>> They claim you uh distributed disinformation.
What do you say about that claim?
>> Yeah, so my work, um, is following the money.
And uh this week the Kremlin has confirmed to me that following this money trail has made them uncomfortable.
And it's not disinformation at all, it's only the truth.
Um, and Russia can add my name to whatever list it wants.
It won't change the facts and it won't change my work.
