The first domino has fallen in what is expected to be an exceptionally busy weekend for the Mets.

Minter was traded to the Minnesota Twins on Friday night, a source confirmed to the Daily News.
The Mets are receiving infielder Bruin Agbayani, the son of former Mets left fielder Benny Agbayani, and Billy Amick, a third baseman and first baseman.
Both are ranked among the Twins’ top-25 prospects by MLB Pipeline.
Minter is one of three high-leverage relievers on expiring contracts.
Left-hander Brooks Raley and right-hander Huascar Brazobán are expected to be traded ahead of the Monday deadline as well.
Right-hander Luke Weaver, the Mets’ setup man who didn’t allow an earned run for nearly three months at one point this season, is likely to leave despite having another year on his contract.
The Mets are looking for top prospects to flip for Major League talent in the offseason, and Weaver will command top talent.
Closer Devin Williams is not expected to be dealt with two years left on his contract after this season.
The bullpen has been the Mets' strong suit this season, often carrying them to wins when the rest of the team has fallen apart.
They’ve been responsible for 30 of the Mets’ 47 wins, and have a 3.82 ERA overall, the eighth-best in baseball.
“I love Dev and Luke and Mint and Brazo.
You go down the list, and I just love these guys,” Raley said Thursday after picking up what could be his final win in a Mets uniform.
“It’s been a lot of fun to be around, especially in a tough year; you’ve kind of got to bond and fight for each other and cheer for one another, and I think we do a good job of that.
So it’s been a pleasure.”
Minter, 32, made 36 appearances for the Mets over the last two seasons.
He came to the Mets as a free agent in 2025 after spending the entirety of his career with the Atlanta Braves.
His time in Atlanta ended prematurely with Minter forced to undergo hip surgery, and he was injured after only 13 appearances last season.
A lat tear last May required surgery and a lengthy rehab period.
Having just come off a lengthy rehab for his hip, the lat injury was a frustrating setback.
Minter was eager to contribute to his new team, and even more eager to be on the mound instead of in the training room.
Still, he took it in stride, staying positive throughout.
He was able to help his now-wife, Anna, plan their wedding last year while he was on the injured list, something he called a silver lining.
A well-liked teammate in the clubhouse, several current and former Mets attended the Dallas nuptials last winter, despite having only known the two for one season.
The couple is expecting their first child later this year.
Minter made 23 appearances after returning in late May, going 1-1 with a 2.35 ERA, a 4.02 FIP and one hold.
In 36 appearances with the Mets, he posted a 2.12 ERA.
Agbayani, 19, was drafted in the sixth round last year out of St.
Louis School in Honolulu.
The 2025 Gatorade High School Player of the Year is currently ranked No. 29 in the Minnesota system, but hasn’t played since May because of a shoulder injury.
His sister, Ailana Agbayani, is an infielder for the Chicago Bandits of the AUSL, playing in her first professional season after wrapping up a standout softball career at the University of Oklahoma.
His father, Benny, became a cult hero after a walk-off homer in the 13th inning of the 2000 NLDS against the San Francisco Giants, and drove in the winning run in Game 3 of the World Series.
He played five years in MLB for the Mets, Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox, as well as in Mexico and Japan.
