Cafe Audire is NoDa's new coffee shop and vinyl listening lounge.
It's a mid-century modern coffee shop at The Pass that doubles as a vinyl lounge — with cocktails coming after dark.
Located at 4090 Raleigh St., the lounge is tucked into The Pass , a 12-acre mixed-use development near the Sugar Creek light rail station.
Cafe Audire opened its doors in June of 2026 and celebrated its grand opening in July, joining a growing lineup of local businesses at The Pass, including Soul Gastrolounge, Borderline Bar & Billiards and The Dog's Club.
We stopped by Wednesday afternoon to check out the coffee menu and listen to a few records.
The space is on the smaller side, but still offers many seating options.
It's filled with mid-century modern decor: colorful paintings, orange walls and vinyls everywhere.
The coffee menu was simple but featured a few unique offerings, like the Americola, which combined espresso, vanilla creamer and Coke.
They also make a few of their own coffee syrups, such as ube, blueberry and raspberry.
Seasonal punch drinks are also available along with teas and pastries from a local bakery.
We tried the Americola, which tasted like a Coke float with a strong coffee kick.
It left us refreshed and wide awake.
We also tried the blueberry latte, which was strong but lacked the flavor we were hoping for.
The blueberry was a little hard to taste.
Beyond the drink options, the vinyl lounge is what really makes Cafe Audire different.
They have two record players with attached headphones where you can sit and listen to your favorites.
Customers also have the option to rent a portable record player and headphones to spin from the cafe's tables.
These can be shared with up to 4 friends, so the whole group can listen together.
The shop plans to host events such as listening nights, record swaps, spoken-word performances, and more.
Cafe Audire is open weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., then closes to become a cocktail lounge from 6 p.m. to midnight.
Hours vary on the weekends.
The cocktail lounge includes a retro 60's and 70s-inspired menu of drinks, including martinis and Manhattans.
The Americola, the vinyls and the decor made Cafe Audire a fun visit.
There's free parking, and the wifi was strong, making it a good place to get some work done.
We'll have to try it out in the evening to see how their cocktails measure up.
