New England Patriots head coach Mike Rabrael returning to the team after missing the third day of the NFL draft.
Rabbel had taken a break from his football duties to seek counseling after photos surfaced showing him with former athletic reporter Diana Rousini.
Rabbel stating quote, "My priorities are my family and this football team in that order."
For more, let's bring in ESPN Patriots reporter Mike Reese.
Mike, thanks so much for joining us.
So, what are you hearing from players and staff about Rael's return?
>> Well, Stephanie, today was the first time we got to hear from players on what they've seen behind the scenes from Mike Rabel, what they've heard behind the scenes from his messaging.
And it was a veteran perspective.
Hunter Henry, a tight end in his 10th year, said that he noticed the same coach, that he was bringing that same energy to the room.
And then Robert Spelain, a linebacker in his ninth year, who really credits Vrabel for his NFL career, giving him his first start back in Tennessee in 2018.
He said he Rael keeps the main thing the main thing that when they're in the building, they just talk about football.
Spain saying he fully supports Mike Rabel.
>> We know that the coach uh Rael was missing day three of the NFL draft.
How were those selections made without the team's head coach?
>> So, the Patriots executive vice president of player personnel, Elliot Wolf, uh, was in control of the draft room.
And he described it, Stephanie, as business as usual.
He said there were great conversations with him and the coaching staff, the other coaches on the team.
Great conversations with the other scouts.
And so Mike Rabel was not in the draft room.
They checked in with him early in the morning just to make sure he was doing okay, but they didn't have any other communication with him on a day that they selected six of nine players overall in the draft.
>> All right, we know a lot of eyes are on the Patriots roster ahead of next season.
We'll keep an eye on it.
Thanks so much, Mike.
Appreciate your time.
