The battle to be LA's mayor ramped up a whole lot last night.
It was the first televised debate ahead of a primary that is taking place next month.
Former reality TV star Spencer Pratt, you may have heard of him, he wasted no time hammering current mayor Karen Bass and Democratic Socialist Councilwoman Nithia Raman as he called out their handling of everything from the LA wildfires to the city's rampant homelessness and drug crisis.
Also did a little bit of name calling.
Statistic says 93% of this is a drug addiction problem.
Nitia Councilwoman Robin's plan for treatment first.
I will go below the Harbor Freeway tomorrow with her and we can find some of these people she's going to offer treatment for.
She's going to get stabbed in the neck.
These people do not want a bed.
They want fentanyl or super meth.
My job is to be as crazy as this will sound.

This is a MAGA Republicans's idea of what Los Angeles looks like.

We've had it with the politicians.
So, you get this charismatic, common sense populace with a reality TV background.
And he comes in and he just shoots from the hip and you can kind of see his blood boiling because he's face to face with these politicians who burned his house down and destroyed his city.
And so, and the one woman Karen Bass is like, "You know what?
We did a great job with the fire.
Are you kidding me?"
It's like Biden said the border secure.
And then you have this ramen rhymes with noodle, whatever her name is.
She's like, "Yeah, we should put homeless encampments next to daycare."
I mean, I'm surprised he didn't get up and say what Trump did.
You people are all crazy.
I don't even think these two women even go out in the city.
What do they do?
Go to city hall and then back to their homes?
They have no idea there's a homeless problem.
They have no idea the cost of living is crazy.
34 homes have been built in the Palisades since the fire.
It's absolute insanity.
And if you think either of these two women, especially Bass, is going to run this town when they have the Olympics, hand Bass a torch for the Olympic ceremony.
Watch her burn the rest of the place down.

Uh Harold, um you know, aside from the wildfires, which is the rallying cry now for a lot of politicians in California, um he's basically his platform essentially boils down to he's like anti-rime, pro cop, uh and getting drugs and crime off the streets.
It's like kind of hard to disagree with that.

I mean, I The California dream isn't what it used to be.
And I think if if that the young man was very performative.
He obviously has a great background in acting.
I didn't know I don't know the shows.
Um uh and I thought his substance was about right.
He reminded me of a former politician out of Minnesota named Jesse the Body Ventura who came along as an independent and upended the political system.
Even out there in California, in LA, you had Dick Rearan, the former mayor who came from the outside, a very wealthy business guy, but came from the outside to try to shake things up.
This guy would have a, I think, a better shot if if he wasn't so performant and actually said, "Here's what I'm going to do."
And to Jesse's point, some of the things were being said, at least some of the things were quoted in our uh in our packet.
I have just said, "You guys are wrong.
We've tried that way.
Here's what I want to do."
Now, here I don't want to be giving advice to this fellow, but people want representation.
People want reforms.
People want crime dealt with.
