And in Jersey City, New Jersey, relentless rain sending water up to the tires of cars lining this neighborhood street.
On Long Island, powerful winds whipping through the area.
Torrential rains pummeling parts of upstate New York toppling trees and scattering branches.
And in Red Bank, New Jersey, a lightning strike exploding over this home during the storm.

Already today, more than 1,200 cancellations ahead of storms in the Southeast with major airlines issuing travel waivers to passengers.
And after days of hazardous haze, the rain finally flushing the smoke out of the Northeast from those Canadian wildfires.
But those fires still burning tonight with millions around the Great Lakes dealing with unhealthy air.
