Long Awaited Documentary 'Silent Harvest' Debuts
The new documentary that's been a decade in the making called The Silent Harvest shines a light on the brutal practice of forced organ harvesting in communist China.
It was released globally online today, and NTD H David Zhang has the story.
Silence is the biggest accomplice to crimes against humanity, and we need
10 years in the making, Silent Harvest is a documentary about the forced organ harvesting of prisoners of conscience in China.
Yeah, I've never seen a community whether persecution with such dignity and grace as I've seen Falun Dafa practitioners suffer in such an incredible way.
The 90-minute documentary features interviews with doctors, medical experts, and victims from around the world.
They discuss the scale and brutality of forced organ harvesting, a crime against humanity.
And it's sad that there is a government that does not put a value on life.
And obviously that is what is happening in the Chinese Communist world.
If we don't stop forced organ harvesting in China, then we can imagine that our children and grandchildren will be monsters or victims of monsters.
We will become monsters or victims of monsters.
I would rather be the victim of a monster than be a monster.
Um but the reality is that's going to be the choice.
And so if we don't stop forced organ harvesting in China, we're doomed.
The organization behind the production, Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting or DAFOH, is a recipient of the 2019 Mother Teresa Memorial Award for social justice and has been nominated three times for the Nobel Peace Prize.
We are a medical NGO.
We are medical doctors.
We approach this topic from the view of medical doctors.
We Thank you to the makers of the film.
They have given their time, their finances, and a great deal of their heart to make this happen and to bring this story out.
For 20 years, DAFOH has advocated for ethical transplantation practices through education and research.
The organization believes the silence from the medical community is part of a what fuels this lucrative and evil practice.
Even even the innocent person who's just trying to get some some some worry like they they don't know and they go and they they you know, someone is killed for body part that's going in.
I mean, there's there's a range of I think moral, economic, there's there's a lot of reasons everyone should care about this.
The documentary is available online free to watch at silentharvestmovie.com.
