One service member is currently missing in action.
Four American service members were evacuated to Jordanian hospitals.
They have since been released.
War Secretary Pete Hexth later reacting to the incident saying, "Godspeed heroes.
Their sacrifice only stiffens our resolve."
And that is the question today, guys.
All eyes are on the region to see how this tit fortat will further escalate.
The president tells News Nation it's a very sad thing.
We hate to see it happen.
It's in service to our country.
At the same time, the president appears undeterred, telling the New York Post they did it because they don't want to see Iran have a nuclear weapon.
And it just shows you how bad the Iranians are.

And if you think that uh inflicting this kind of pain on uh America by killing two service members is going to deter President Trump from uh doing what he believes must be done, uh then you're disastrously wrong.
And it's going to be
it's going Th this, you know, we went from hope for a peace deal to some tit fortat to I would argue all [clears throat] bets are off.
President Trump is going to respond to this with
such savage fury they're going to have to come up with a new name for the operation.

And while you are looking at the battle, which is what it is now, a battle for the straight of Hormuz, and you're seeing so many of the strikes in Boundaras and areas in the keyport there in the straight in Iran continuing to accuse the US of violating the memorandum of understanding.
But then outside of the battle for the control of the strait is the attacks on the Gulf countries like Jordan at that air base which has killed tragically two of our US service members.
There is no daylight, I would imagine, in the Pentagon and in the situation room about bringing the hammer down for this action.

Let's be clear, the person choosing to make the decision to climb the escalation ladder right now is
Iran striking Jordan and killing two of our people.
So, as long as they're escalating, it's it's hard to say to think about how we deescalate when they're choosing. They have a choice.
President Trump has demonstrated the uh undeniable, incredible patience to give them the offramp to a deal that's still on the table if they should choose it.
But they're choosing to escalate.
This is an escalation on Iran's part and it will not be accepted by the US.
