Ed Alonzo is best known for his work on smash hit teen sitcom Saved by the Bell and now he has resurfaced on social media.
The 63-year-old comedian, actor, and magician looked unrecognizable in recent photos posted onto Instagram.
His signature role on the NBC sitcom was as Max who also happened to be a magician and owner of Max's Diner where the gang would often hang out after school.
The show was centered around a close-knit group of six friends get through their teens together while attending Bayside High School in Palisades, California.
It also featured Mark-Paul Gosselaar, Tiffani Thiessen, Mario Lopez, Elizabeth Berkley, Dustin Diamond, and Dennis Haskins.
Alonzo appeared on 21 episodes which aired from 1989 to 1992 (season one to three).
More recently, he actually reprised his role as Max in the short-lived reboot of Saved by the Bell which streamed on Peacock in 2020.
He also famously worked alongside Britney Spears to create illusions for her iconic The Circus Starring Britney Spears Tour in 2009.
Though magic is a major part of his life, Alonzo had his fans mystified for a different reason as he looked much different in a selfie posted in May.
The talented star snapped himself in front of iconic Anaheim dessert spot, Joe's Italian Ice, and looked unrecognizable as his signature hair was tucked under his hat and he was not wearing his signature eyeglasses.
The multihyphenate is happily married to wife Bridgette O'Malley Alonzo as they share one child together named Brogan Alonzo.
Alonzo still performs to this day as he did his magic show on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines as recently as 2026.
Aside from Saved By The Bell, he was a fixture on television throughout the 1980s and '90s as he had roles on Head of the Class, Totally Hidden Video, Full House, Murphy Brown and Xuxa.
More recently he had a guest role on How I Met Your Mother and appeared in an episode of Modern Family as magician Kaiser Mayhem.
Alonzo also performed magic on an episode of America's Next Top Model during Cycle 11 in 2008.
He also was one of the magicians who was working on Michael Jackson's This Is It concert before his death on June 25, 2009.
Alonzo has many ties to superstars as he has also worked with the likes of Katy Perry and David Blaine.
He has also had a show at Knotts Halloween Haunt called Ed Alonzo's Psycho Circus of Magic and Mayhem.
Alonzo has also won several awards for his work in Magic including The Academy of Magical Arts Stage Magician of the Year in 1999 and 2000.
