Samsung announced five new products during its Galaxy Unpacked event .
Three of those are the new flagship smartphones: the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Z Fold 8 Ultra, and Z Flip 8.
Samsung already has them up for pre-order , but Amazon launched its own pre-order deals, which are objectively better.
You can get an Amazon gift card up to $350, while Samsung is offering a max of $200 in Samsung credits.
And if you're looking to switch to T-Mobile, you can get a Galaxy Z Fold 8 on them .
You can read more details on that deal here .
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip8 Unlocked Cell Phone + $200 Gift Card, 256GB Graphite
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Unlocked Cell Phone + $350 Gift Card, 256GB Graphite
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold8 Ultra Phone + $350 Gift Card, 256GB, Violet Shadow
The Galaxy Z Flip8 doesn't bring much change
If you were expecting a shiny new toy from the Z Flip 8, you might be disappointed-it's not that different from the Z Flip 7.
It has a 4.1-inch outer display and a 6.9-inch inner display, 12GB of RAM, and similar cameras to the Z Flip 7, including a 50MP Wide, 12MP Ultra Wide, and 10X Digital Zoom.
Upgrades over the previous model include peak brightness that's 1000 nits brighter, now reaching 2600 nits; there is a new 2x optical zoom; and the processor upgrades the SoC from the Exynos 2500.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 is a new device
As Senior Tech Editor Jake Peterson says, the Z Fold 8 is not the upgraded version of the Z Fold 7: It's a brand new device which might appeal to users who want a phablet that takes up a little less space in their pocket.
You can expect a 5.5-inch outer display, a 7.6-inch inner display, three rear cameras (50MP Wide, 50MP Ultra Wide, and 2x Optical Zoom), and the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip as the rest of the "Z 8" line.
The Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is the successor to the Galaxy Z Fold 7
The flagship foldable Samsung phone for 2026 is the Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra.
It has the biggest and best cameras (200MP Wide, 50MP Ultra Wide, and 10MP Tele), the largest displays (6.5-inch outer display, 8-inch inner display), and the biggest battery (5,000 mAh).
