Chaffer, 74, of Sandwich, IL passed away on July 9, 2026. 
Fred was born on August 4, 1951 in Oak Park, IL to Wilbur and Alice (Cannon) Chaffer. 
Fred was a motocycle enthusiast and was apart of the A.B.A.T.E. organization for over 30 years. 
Throughout his life he worked for AT&T, the Aurora Police Department and Septran. 
Fred is survived by his wife, Sally; 2 children, Lauren (Kenny) Stevens of Somonauk, IL and Kim (Brian) Schroeder of Lexington, Kentucky; 3 grandchildren, Oliver, Emma Kate and Ben; 1 sister, Georgeann Chaffer of Villa Park, IL; Special nieces, Lynnette and Shelly; As well as several other cousins, nieces and nephews; And good friends, Patti and Kevin, and Cliff and Linda. 
He is preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Patricia Olzanowski. 
A celebration of life will be held on August 1, 2026 at Cornerstone Church, 17347 Pratt Rd, Sandwich, IL 60548. 
Family wil be receiving guests from 2:00  4:00 P.M. 
Please wear any motorcycle attire if you are able to.
