Barbara Cook, of New Britain, CT, died on July 23, 2026, at the age of 80 years old.
She was born on January 27, 1946, to the late Arnold Skoglund and Gladys (Rosia).
She was also predeceased by her brother, Bruce Skoglund and his wife, Marlene.
She is survived by her sister, Sandra Flynn; brother, Ray Skoglund and his wife Elly; nephew Joe Skoglund and his wife Amanda and their children Zoe and Willow; niece Jennifer Skoglund; nephew John Skoglund and his husband Shane; nephew Michael Skoglund and his wife Mae and their son Austin.
After graduating in 1964 from Pulaski High School in New Britain, Barbara worked in the insurance industry for fifty years, where she made many lifelong friends and honed her skills at taking charge.
She was fiercely devoted to her family and loved nothing better than doting on her nieces and nephews.
She will be sorely missed, but her family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace.
There will be no calling hours.
Burial will be at the convenience of her family.
