Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) was at an event at the National Press Club in Washington, D.C., where he wanted to concentrate on attacking President Donald Trump to the assembled audience.
He said he wanted to make a "major anti-corruption announcement."
But things did not quite go as expected, and instead he found that he was being called out by a protester for his own record, and the way that Schumer handled it did not calm the situation.
"Please sit down, please sit down," Schumer said when the audience member started.
That didn't work.
"You talk about corruption, how can you talk about corruption when you back genocide?
What can be more corrupt than genocide?
This is part of the same con of you and Trump playing off of each other," the man said.
He said Schumer had been "put on notice" by the Center for Constitutional Rights and other organizations for "aiding and abetting" genocide.
"How dare you talk about corruption?"
the man said.
Schumer tried to dismiss him, saying, "Thank you for your diatribe.
Now let's continue.
Let's continue."
Then he tried to shut the guy down, "The people didn't come to hear you."
Then he motioned for people to try to remove the man.
"You should be questioned about your diabolical record," the man said.
"It's amazing that you can show your genocidal face in public!

Shame on Public Citizen for not allowing questions to this genocidal maniac."
Schumer has historically been a big supporter of Israel.
But he is being bitten by the door he and other Democrats opened to those even further left.
The left is going to eat the party alive over this issue, as well as other issues.
All the Democrats like Schumer are saying in response is "big tent, big tent."
He hasn't responded to stop the bleeding.
Democrats' weakness and, heck, just flat out embracing some of this stuff, is allowing all this to rise.
Meanwhile, instead of dealing with the divisions in his own party and the radicals, or even focusing on the economy and "affordability," what Schumer is putting forth is the only policy that the Democrats seem to have truly fixated on for the last 10 years: attack President Donald Trump.
This is one of the reasons the Democrats' approval is so low - they are so incredibly weak.
It's one of the things that can help Republicans in the midterms.
The Democrats' failure to get anything done, the extremism, the lack of money, plus redistricting, are going to put them in a hole.
The Republicans need to do all they can to show they are the saner choice.
The left's ultimate reward for Schumer is going to be to primary him in the next election.
