A Queens man is facing a manslaughter charge after police arrested him for the death of another man he allegedly fought at a Bronx subway station early Wednesday.
NYPD officials said Keith Plummer, 68, was taken into custody after officers found the victim unconscious at the Van Cortlandt Park–242nd Street station on the 1 line just after 3 a.m.
First responders took the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officials did not immediately identify him as they worked to notify his family.
Police said Plummer and the victim didn’t appear to know each other and got into a fight at the station that led to the man’s death.
Authorities have not yet detailed the injuries he sustained.
Plummer was awaiting his arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court early Thursday.
Information for his lawyer was not immediately available.
Police said he lives in South Jamaica.
