MS NOW anchor Jacob Soboroff started his show off on Saturday by venting about the “disgusting” language ICE and border patrol agents used to describe illegal immigrants, according to newly released documents.
Soboroff explained the texts were revealed because of a push by the ACLU in California.
He ripped agents who referred to illegal immigrants as “bodies” in on exchange, with Soboroff reading the message that said “I think [border patrol agents] only know one way to operate — see bodies, chase bodies.”
He then warned his viewers it got even worse.
“Even more body camera footage and texts caught agents using racist language, slurs, to describe Latinos,” Soboroff said.
“I want to warn you that the language you are about to hear is very offensive, it is disgusting.
But I believe that it is important for you guys to hear and witness nonetheless.”
MS NOW then had a technical difficulty and played the wrong clip.
The camera cut back to Soboroff and he read the message.
“The agent refers to a person as quote ‘wet.’
Wet is typically short for wetback.
Which is a slur that ties back to Operation Wetback.
We normally don’t say it on television, but you should know it, because that was the official and racist name for the 1954 deportation effort by the Dwight D.
Eisenhower administration, which Donald Trump has lauded in the past and modeled this deportation effort after.”
His gripes about the immigration agents comes after the Trump administration announced in July it had deported 356,389 people in the last year.
Over on Fox News, Tomi Lahren said she was disappointed by those figures — she said MAGA fans wanted to see a lot more illegal immigrants get booted .
Soboroff ended his segment by telling viewers they can thwart Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration by voting in the 2026 midterms.
“All of this goes back to power.
Who has the power and who gets the power, [and] what we do with the power.
We the people,” he said.
“On election day, we get to exercise it, we get to choose the kind of country that we want to be.”
