Tournament of Roses Opens Applications for 2027 Rose Court 6%

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is now accepting applications for the 2027 Rose Court, with the first round of interviews scheduled for early September at Tournament House in Pasadena.
“We are excited to continue the treasured legacy of the Rose Court, one that has inspired its members to connect with their communities, give back in meaningful ways, and grow in self-confidence through valuable experiences,” the Tournament said in an annoucement message.
“These are experiences that will not only enrich their lives but also have a lasting impact on the communities they serve.”
To be eligible, applicants must live and attend school full time within the Pasadena Area Community College District or in one of seven additional eligible ZIP codes, including Eagle Rock, Highland Park, San Gabriel and Alhambra.
Each Rose Court member receives a $7,500 educational scholarship, the Tournament said in announcing the application period.
The Tournament said it is seeking applicants who bring a range of strengths and perspectives, including public speakers, youth leaders, academic achievers and community and school leaders.
Applicants are not required to have all of those skills, the Tournament said.
The selected members will serve as ambassadors for the Tournament of Roses, the Pasadena community and the greater Los Angeles area.
First-round interviews will be held at Tournament House, 391 S.
Orange Grove Blvd. in Pasadena, on Saturday, Sept. 5, from 10 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3 p.m., and on Tuesday, Sept. 8, from 3 to 6 p.m.
The 2027 Rose Court will be announced Monday, Sept. 28, 2026, at Tournament House.
The 108th Rose Queen will be announced and crowned there Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at a time to be determined.
Court members will ride down Colorado Boulevard in the 138th Rose Parade and attend the College Football Playoff quarterfinal at the 113th Rose Bowl Game, both on Friday, Jan.
1, 2027.

The Pasadena Tournament of Roses is a volunteer organization that hosts the Rose Parade, the Rose Bowl Game and accompanying events.
The association's 935 members supply more than 80,000 volunteer hours, the Tournament said.
