Vice President JD Vance took to X to announce the birth of his fourth child with Second Lady of the United States Usha Vance.
We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning.
Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother.
The incredible military doctors and staff members of Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit have been a blessing.
We are deeply thankful for all they have done for our family.
Alec will join his brothers, 9-year-old Ewan and six-year-old Vivek, and four-year-old sister Mirabel in the Vice President's residence.
The second couple announced in February that they were expecting, and that it would be a boy.
Vance was one of the cabinet members who filled in for White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt while she was on maternity leave after the birth of her little girl.
Vance opened with this one-liner.

Vance is a staunch advocate for life and for families.
Since becoming Vice President, Vance has twice been the keynote speaker at the March for Life in Washington, D.C.
At the 2025 march, Vance said:
So, let me say very simply: I want more babies in the United States of America. [cheers].
I want more happy children in our country.
And I want beautiful young men and women who are eager to welcome them into the world and eager to raise them.
And it is the task of our government to make it easier for young moms and dads to afford to have kids, to bring them into the world, and to welcome them as the blessings that we know they are here at the March for Life.
The Vances are doing their part.
