When an EF3 tornado tore through the St. 
Louis region on May 16, 2025, residents immediately started picking up the pieces  volunteering their time to clear debris, helping to feed those in need and providing resources to patch up damaged buildings. 
This Saturday marks one year since the storm  and the work is far from over. 
Various groups are holding remembrance events, volunteer cleanup opportunities and art events this week and next week.
