Born on Sept. 26, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas, Michael was the fifth of six siblings.
He attended St.
Mary’s Catholic School before graduating from Nolan Catholic High School with the Class of 1981.
Throughout his life, Michael remained fiercely loyal to the people he loved.
His friendships were lifelong, rooted in trust rather than time or distance.
He faithfully kept a prayer list that included not only his family but also many of his grade school classmates.
To Michael, true friendship endured through silence, miles, and the passing of years.
Those fortunate enough to know him understood that whenever you reunited, it felt as though no time had passed at all.
Michael embraced life with enthusiasm and gratitude.
He loved all genres of music, especially Tejano, and found joy in dancing, traveling, watching movies, sharing meals, and laughing with family and friends.
As soon as he entered the workforce, he began exploring the world alongside those he loved.
He had a gift for preserving memories through photography, often serving as the family’s photographer.
It suited him perfectly, as he much preferred being behind the camera than in front of it.
For 25 years, Michael dedicated himself to a career with Chase Bank.
When he decided it was time for a new chapter, he chose a path guided not by financial success but by the simple joys of life.
He found work that provided the balance and flexibility he valued, taking pride in what he did each day and appreciating the freedom to enjoy life on his own terms.
Those who knew Michael will remember a man who was humble, thoughtful, intelligent, sensitive, and wonderfully funny.
He possessed a deep appreciation for his heritage.
Though he never learned to speak Spanish, he immersed himself in the history and traditions of the Aztec people with genuine pride and fascination.
His faith was deeply personal.
He did not preach, but he knew and loved God, offering his prayers quietly and sincerely in moments known only to Him.
Michael cared deeply about justice and was never afraid to speak his mind, especially on matters of politics and fairness.
Yet he also understood the importance of stepping away from the noise of the world when it became too heavy.
He sought balance, treasured peace, and found comfort in life’s quieter moments.
Nothing brought Michael greater pride than his nieces and nephews, he spoke of them often and with immense admiration, celebrating their accomplishments and sharing stories about them with friends.
He was a dreamer with an exceptionally generous heart, always wishing he could ease the burdens of those around him.
He faithfully played the lottery, not for wealth or luxury, but because he dreamed of helping everyone he loved.
Someone once told him, “even if you win the lottery and become a millionaire, you’ll still be a poor man because you’ll give it all away.”
Michael never stopped dreaming.
In the end, Michael proved that true riches are not measured by money, but by the love we give, the kindness we show, and the lives we touch.
His loyalty, compassion, and generous spirit were his greatest treasures, and they are the legacy that he leaves behind.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rose and Jose Arredondo Jr.; his sister, Mary Ellen “Helen” Arredondo; his brother, Vincent Ray Arredondo; and his nephew, David Eric Arredondo.
Michael is survived by his brothers, Jose Arredondo III, Chris Arredondo (Teresa); his sister, Cynthia Arredondo; his nephews, Ruben Arredondo, Richard Arredondo (Lisa), David C.
