Cops have identified a suspect wanted in the fatal shooting of a 29-year-old father during an argument in the basement of a Bronx restaurant and lounge.
Luis Aguero, 24, is being sought in connection with the murder of Yeimy Reyes, who was shot in the head during a quarrel with two men in the cellar of M Lounge Restaurant on Jerome Ave. near E. 184th St. in Fordham around 4:30 a.m. last Thursday, according to law enforcement.
Police released two images of Aguero, including a mug shot and a surveillance still that shows him wearing a baseball cap and sunglasses, and are requesting the public’s help in tracking him down.
Aguero has a criminal record that includes two arrests in New York City, with charges including unlicensed operator and resisting arrest.
Police said Reyes was shot after arguing with two men, who fled the place and remain on the loose.
Several other people were caught on surveillance cameras fleeing the area.
One suspect wore all black and black sunglasses, while the other sported a green shirt with white lettering and black-and-white sneakers, cops said.
Reyes’ family said he went to the night club looking to sell sunglasses to support his 8-year-old son and the boy’s mother living in Venezuela.
“My brother calls (his son) every day and works here and sends money,” Reyes’ sister Maria Fernanda Sangrony Negron, told the Daily News.
“He was a good father.
Oh, my God, he loved his son.”
