An 80-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man were killed in a Brooklyn apartment fire, authorities said Tuesday. 
The blaze broke out in the six-story building on Kingston Ave. near Empire Blvd. in Crown Heights about 11 p.m. 
Monday. 
The victims, pulled from a third-floor apartment, were rushed by medics to Kings County Hospital but could not be saved, police said. 
Their names were not immediately released. 
One firefighter was taken to the hospital in stable condition. 
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
