Lawsuit alleges City of Fargo earned tax revenue from illegally annexed land ^82.6%

Southern Valley Fire and Rescue has sued the City of Fargo and Cass County over what it says was an illegal annexation of land. The rural fire department says that annexation has cost it close to $7 million in lost tax and fee revenue. Since 1982, Southern Valley’s fire protection district has been located in Cass County, south of Fargo.... more
