Tonight, we're hearing for the first time from that 16-year-old lifeguard seen in this now viral video rescuing a boy off California's Santa Cruz coast. 
Ryder Williams says he was at the waterline when he saw a child lose his footing in ankle-deep water. I radioed it in through my radio and sunglasses at the base of my tower as I ran toward the kid. 
That's where the heart-stopping video begins. 
You can see for 2 long minutes Williams holding onto the limp 10-year-old, violent waves crashing into them forcing them underwater, but Williams never letting go. 
He credits his fellow lifeguard Aaron Bonin for his help, adding that when bystanders also jumped in, he yelled at them to get back to shore.
