Kevin, earlier today we heard that he was hospitalized.Â
What on earth happened?Â

A shocking night to be sure for race fans all over the globe.Â
Laura, as news of Kyle Bush's sudden passing spreads far and wide.Â
He was just 41 years old and as you point out, he was actually hospitalized earlier this week with an unspecified illness and he never recovered.Â
For more than two decades, Rowdy combined his skill, swagger, and gutsy driving and won a whole lot of races.Â
In fact, if you combine the Cub Series, the O'Reilly Series, and the Truck Series, he won a record- setting 234 National Series races, most of any driver in history.Â
By the way, he also won Cup Series titles in 2015 and 2019.Â
Now, tonight in a joint statement, NASCAR, the Bush Family, and Children's Racing called Kyle a rare talent, one who comes along once in a generation, adding this.Â
He was fierce, he was passionate, he was immensely skilled, and he cared deeply about the sport and fans.Â
Indeed, Bush appeared to be ill just a couple of weeks ago at Watkins Glenn.Â

He radioed his team during the race and asked for a doctor to meet him after the checkered flag.Â
Reports suggested at the time he had a pretty substantial cough.Â
And of course this week he underwent treatment for what his team called a severe illness.Â
Kyle is survived by his wife Samantha, 11-year-old son Brexton, and four-year-old daughter Lennin.Â
Kyle Bush, just 41 years old, and obviously our condolences to him and the entire family of racers who really loved the sport, loved his family, loved his family's contribution.Â
