This morning, a veteran Air Canada pilot, Jeffrey Wall, seen here in his LinkedIn profile, is facing criminal charges after police said he flew hundreds of flights and tens of thousands of passengers with a fraudulent license.

Wall was promoted to captain in 2009 and since then police said Air Canada assigned him to 900 domestic and international flights.
Each one carrying as many as 500 passengers.
He was licensed to fly.
He was a commercial pilot. He was not licensed to fly passengers.

Police said Wall was caught after Canadian transportation officials detected anomalies in documents he presented in March 2025 during a random check at Toronto's Pearson International Airport.
Air Canada insisted safety was not compromised because all pilots undergo mandatory recurrent training every 6 months. Police aren't so sure.

The pilot is now facing seven criminal charges.
Police consider Air Canada the victim here and say he simply deceived the airline, Canadian transportation authorities to wind up in the cockpit and at the controls of hundreds of flights without the right credentials.
