In South Korea, you go to a company, an agency, and chances are you've already come across one without even being aware of it because their ads are like absolutely everywhere in Seoul. What they're selling is matchmaking, and they seem to be absolutely killing it right now. The company called Ga-yeon claims that they're the number one in

the industry, citing the largest pool of members in the country, somewhere around 30,000. So, how do these agencies actually work, and why do so many Koreans feel like they need one in the first place?
