Well, Secretary of State Marco Rubio kicking a man convicted of sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl out of the country after Minnesota Governor Tim Walz pardoned him. 
The victim, now an adult, supports the pardon. 
But Secretary Rubio says he took action to protect American families.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio says the Trump administration has apprehended and deported this Laotian man who had been living in Minnesota under pardon from Governor Tim Walz after committing heinous crimes. 
DHS officials are now accusing Walz of shielding a child rapist from deportation. 
>> Just weeks ago a convicted sex offender and a foreign national was shielded from deportation by the governor of Minnesota. 
Laotian national Tou Ly Vang was convicted of repeatedly sexually abusing a 10-year-old girl in the state of Minnesota. 
He even tried to pay his victim for her silence and he called his heinous crimes a minor thing. 
Just days before this foreign sex offender was scheduled to be deported, Tim Walz, the governor, issued him a pardon setting him free to once again endanger the children of America. 
>> According to court filings, he repeatedly sexually assaulted a girl between 2002 and 2004. 
On one occasion, he tried to offer his victim $10 to stay quiet. 
He then later told police in interviews, quote, "It's a cultural thing to marry and have sex with girls as young as 12." 
ICE first arrested him on December 10. 
On February 19th, a judge in Minnesota ordered him released from custody. 
On June 10th of this year, the Minnesota Clemency Review then voted to grant par- a pardon to Vang. 
Officials, Trace, say this law enforcement action is a big deal and it highlights their efforts to put Americans, particularly, Trace, American safety uh front and center.
