Spain will make its second ever World Cup final appearance this weekend.
La Roja beat the tournament favorite France with a score 2-0 in the semi-finals today.
Spain will go on to play the winner of tomorrow's semi-final match between England and Argentina.
CBS News correspondent Nicole Valdez joins us from Atlanta.
So, Nicole, one of the two teams in the final has been decided.
What stood out to you the most from today's game?
>> Yeah, Haley.
Well, if you were betting on Spain to beat France, you definitely won big today.
Something that a lot of people may have been surprised about, but truthfully, what stood out in that match was Spain's ability to keep a clean sheet and keep France, who has a significantly dominant offense there, from scoring any goals.
Now, what we noticed as well with this Spain team was that it wasn't just one star player that was really making the moves here.
You noticed several of the Spaniards there able to step up and keep that performance going throughout the entirety of that match. [clears throat] So, as you mentioned, they move on to the finals, which will be on Sunday in New York.
As for, you know, what to expect there, I think of course Spain will want to continue putting on a great performance, but not knowing who they'll play against is something that, you know, is probably on their minds now.
They would love to see, you know, who the winner of tomorrow's match, England or Argentina, is to then start preparing to see what kind of opponent they could face in that final match.
>> Nicole Valdez, thank you so much.
