Watch Duty mapped the fire at 4 acres at 1:53 p.m. and said the fire was burning in heavy timber.
As of 2:30 p.m., Watch Duty said forward progress had been stopped and the fire was in mop-up.
Multiple agencies had dispatched fire apparatus to the scene.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, officials said.
The fire was burning around 5 miles northeast of Falls City.
Officials said the fire threatened 10 structures and damaged three outbuildings.
Crews remained on scene late into the afternoon to complete mop-up and monitor hot spots.
