A 44-year-old Roseburg man drowned in the North Umpqua River near Whistlers Bend Park on Aug. 4, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
The sheriff's office identified him as Jeffrey Andrew Kulluson.
The incident marks the fifth water-related death in Douglas County this summer, according to officials.
Dispatchers received multiple calls around 3:30 p.m. reporting that a person had gone underwater and had not resurfaced.
Officials from multiple agencies responded and found individuals downstream performing CPR on Kulluson.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The Douglas County Medical Examiner's Office is investigating the death.
At this time, there is no indication of suspicious circumstances," officials said.
The sheriff's office urges everyone recreating on local waterways to use caution, wear properly fitted U.S.
Coast Guard-approved lifejackets, and be aware of changing water conditions, currents, and cold water temperatures.
