The Steam Summer Sale might be over, but now it’s PlayStation’s turn to sell a bunch of digital games cheaper than normal for a few weeks while everyone is stuck indoors trying to avoid the heat.
It’s a glimpse of the only option people will be left with once physical PlayStation games end in 2028.
The PlayStation Store Summer Sale kicked off earlier today, and there are a ton of great games (and plenty of bad ones, too) with steep discounts right now.
The summer sale goes from today until August 12.
Of course, I imagine some folks might not be terribly excited to spend money on digital PlayStation games right now, given the ongoing protests against Sony’s unpopular move to kill discs.
Maybe instead, spend a few bucks on yourself and get a milkshake or some ice cream and beat the heat.
But if you do go digging, there are some fantastic deals to be had, including Remedy’s paranormal, 3D Metroidvania Control for just $6.
It’s one of my favorite PS4-era games ever, and it runs great on PS5.
Most of the PS5 and PS4-era Resident Evil games are on sale as well, with many currently marked down to under $15.
In fact, there are a lot of games currently on sale for $15 or less.
Someone should make a list of some of these great deals and share it with people.
Okay, I made that list.
