Louis Carmello Aresco passed away Monday, August 3rd, surrounded by his loving family. 
Lou was born and raised in Middletown, Connecticut, and remained a lifelong resident, with the exception of several years spent in Port St. 
Lucie, Florida. 
He was a proud member of the Middletown High School Class of 1959. 
Lou served in the United States Army and went on to retire from the Middletown Police Department after 31 years of dedicated service. 
He later continued his commitment to public service through more than ten years of employment as a State Marshal. 
Lou is survived by his wife, Sharon (Soobitsky) Aresco; his daughter, Carla Aresco; his son, Dean Aresco (Sarah Feeney); his granddaughter, Ryan Aresco; his brother, Joseph Aresco (Joan); and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. 
Lou believed deeply that family came first and truly valued the friendships he built throughout his life. 
He adored his granddaughter and shared abundant love with his “grand-dogs.” 
He was an active and proud member of both the Italian American Civic Order (IACO) and the Elks. 
Lou’s family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Middlesex Health Cancer Center and the Middlesex Health Hospice Program for their dedicated and compassionate care. 
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 8th at 10 a.m. in St. 
Francis of Assisi Church, Middletown. 
Friends may call at the Lastrina Family Funeral Home, 491 High St., Middletown on Friday, August 7th from 4 to 6 p.m. 
Burial will be private.
