Lally Bridgid Kelly McNichols, 87, passed away after a life devoted to family, caregiving, and the city she loved. 
Born in Chicago, she spent most of her life in Chicago and Glenview before moving to Miami in 2022. 
She is survived by her four children, Frank (Kate Wester), Kelly (John Moore), Tony, and Maureen (Dave Estes); her sister, Judith; and her grandchildren, Lucy, Sean, Patrick, and Brigid. 
Lally earned her nursing degree from Triton JC and worked as an ER nurse from 1975 to 2014 at Weiss Memorial, Illinois Masonic, and the UIC System. 
Known for her humor, generosity, and devotion to family, she raised her children in Glenview, rescued many pets, restored historic Uptown homes, and traveled widely later in life. 
A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 25, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines. 
Memorial donations may be made to Sacred Heart Schools in Chicago.
