Paul Mayor Kaohly Her is facing an investigation into allegations of sexual harassment. 
The Star Tribune reported Tuesday that Police Chief Axel Henry notified the city in April he had filed a formal complaint. 
The city has hired a law firm to investigate. 
According to that report, the complaint cites sexually suggestive text messages Her sent to a city employee. 
The mayor’s spokesperson, Matt Wagenius, said the city will not comment on an active investigation. 
“The mayor has deep respect for city employees and regrets any unintended impact her actions may have had,” Wagenius said in a statement. 
Her’s office declined to comment further on the issue.
