Noah Kahan’s Boston takeover just got an official stamp of approval from Beacon Hill.
Gov.
Maura Healey has proclaimed Saturday, July 11, 2026, as “Noah Kahan Day” in Massachusetts, recognizing the Vermont-born singer-songwriter for his musical contributions to New England and his advocacy for mental health awareness.
The proclamation comes as the folk-pop singer-songwriter makes history by becoming the first artist to headline four consecutive sold-out concerts at Fenway Park.
Healey issued the official proclamation on Friday afternoon on X - and Kahan retweeted it.
One unforgettable homecoming.

Kahan performed shows on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, with his last show set for Saturday.
In total, more than 150,000 fans were expected to turn out across the four performances.

The proclamation describes Kahan as “one of New England’s defining artists,” crediting him with writing songs that capture “the people, places, and experiences that shape life across the region.”
Although Kahan is from Vermont, the proclamation points out that he lived in Watertown and has cultivated “a deep connection to Massachusetts and the communities that have influenced his music.”
Healey gave a shout-out to a few of his songs, including Stick Season, Northern Attitude, Homesick, Paul Revere, The View Between Villages, Maine, and Staying Still.
The governor also praised the singer for speaking openly about mental health issues.
In his 2026 Netflix documentary Out of Body, Kahan discusses his struggles with depression, anxiety, body dysmorphia, and disordered eating.
He also supports mental health awareness and access to care through the Busyhead Project , a nonprofit initiative named after his debut album.
As Kahan prepared to take the stage for Friday night's Fenway show, fans flocked to social media to express their excitement and gratitude for the singer's Boston stop.
Fenway night 1 altered my brain chemistry.
I will never forget that experience as long as I live.
Thank you @NoahKahan
