Two people were shot during a parking lot takeover near Eastex Freeway and Little York Road on Houston's north side in the early hours of Friday.
Deputies were called to the scene of the shooting around 1:15 a.m. during a parking lot takeover at a Home Depot that is surrounded by other businesses, Ryan Hilz, detective with the Harris County Sheriff's Office Violent Crimes Division told OnScene TV.
One person who was shot ran into the nearby Whataburger for help. Another got into a car, drove away and was transported to the hospital by EMS from another location, he said.

The victims are in their 20s and both were receiving medical treatment at local hospitals, he said. He did not have information on scene about their conditions. It was also unknown if anyone was arrested at the scene.
Hilz said they do not know what led to the shooting and asked anyone with more information to contact CrimeStoppers at 713-222-8477 or the HCSO Violent Crimes Division at 713-274-9365.
