1 dead after 2-vehicle crash in central Las Vegas Valley ⁠2%

Police are investigating a fatal crash Monday afternoon in the central Las Vegas Valley. 
The crash was reported just after 1:40 p.m. near the 4800 block of West Desert Inn Road near South Decatur Boulevard, according to a Metropolitan Police Department release. 
The crash involved a black Nissan Versa and a white SUV. 
The Nissan also struck a tree and a red truck. 
The occupants of the Nissan and the SUV were taken to a local hospital, where one person was later pronounced dead. 
Expect road closures near Warnock Road, Desert Inn Road, and Frontier Avenue while the crash is investigated. 
Donald Turner, 77, said he was driving the red pickup truck that was hit in the crash. 
“I saw the white car come sliding into me,” Turner said. 
Turner said he saw two adults and one child taken to the hospital in ambulances. 
He estimated the child was 4 or 5 years old.
