The co-hosts of The View have come to Kim Kardashian's defense after she was slammed for allowing her daughter, North West, 13, to get her hands pierced.
Kardashian, 45, shares North with her ex-husband, Kanye West, along with sons Saint, 10, and Psalm, seven, and daughter Chicago, eight.
The reality star's decision to allow her daughter to get the back of her hands pierced has caused some serious talk over the last few months, with many debating whether or not it was appropriate or even safe to do so.
But according to the hosts of The View, it's no one's business but Kardashian's.
'It's her kid,' Whoopi Goldberg said during a Hot Topics segment on the show this week.
'If she and her kid decided that's okay, why do you care?
Leave this child alone!
What are your children doing?'
Goldberg continued.
Joy Behar then joked that although she gets Botox and acupuncture, she wouldn't want to get a piercing.
However, she noted that her daughter does have a nose ring.
The ladies then agreed that most of the time, kids will continue to do what they want, even if their parents say no.
'This is 100 percent between the parent and the child, but I will say, kids are also going to do it [even] if you don't let them with piercings,' Alyssa Farah Griffin said.
'I did my second hole when I was like 14 years old at a friend's house,' she admitted.
Sunny Hostin defended North even further, saying that it wasn't 'fair' that the 13-year-old had lived her whole life 'under a microscope.'
'I know that she has a music career that she's starting, but she is, again, only 13 years old, and I think we need to give a 13-year-old kid a break,' Hostin said.
'She's growing up under the spotlight, I can't imagine having that kind of pressure on a 13-year-old and trying to find your way.'
As seen in pictures over the past year, North appears to have small piercings on her fingers and knuckles.
This type of piercing has a microdermal anchor which is placed under the top layer of the skin on the finger.
Kardashian has responded to growing criticism, even leaving a comment on a TikTok video from a fan who expressed concern over the piercings.
A TikTok user by the name @mazzy_williams made a post admitting they were 'heartbroken' over the decision and asked if others felt the same.
'North West getting a finger piercing is breaking my heart, just me?'
she wrote over top footage of herself with her hand over her mouth.
Two days later, Kim used her and North's joint TikTok account to leave a comment under @mazzy_williams' video.
'It's okay,' the SKIMS founder wrote, followed by an emoji of two hands forming a heart.
Just this week, the 13-year-old stepped out with dad Kanye and stepmom Bianca Censori in Los Angeles, sporting a nearly unrecognizable look.
The teenager ditched her longer blue locks for a shorter bob with bangs and also appeared to be wearing black grillz.
She wore a pair of baggy black pants and a black printed top and comfy sneakers.
North carried a small black purse with a fuzzy embellishment and completed the outfit with black shades.
