A motorcycle driver died in a crash July 10, 2026 on the Northwest Side.
A 33-year-old man riding a motorcycle was killed when he went through a red light and collided with a car on the Northwest Side early Friday.
The crash happened around 3:30 a.m. in the 4400 block of North Cumberland Avenue when the southbound motorcycle driver, a 33-year-old man, plowed into an eastbound Toyota Prius in an intersection, Chicago police said.
The unidentified motorcycle driver was taken to Lutheran General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said. The driver of the Prius, a 31-year-old man, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Resurrection Hospital in fair condition.
The Major Accidents Investigation Unit was investigating.
