Monday, July 13, is "713 Day" in Houston, where 713 is a longtime area code.
Events celebrating the Houston holiday are scheduled to take place throughout the city starting Saturday, July 11, as residents gear up for Monday.
Here is a rundown of some of the events and special promotions for 713 Day.
Hou City Fest: 713 Day at Giant Texas Distillers | 1-8 p.m. Sunday, July 12
This free, for-all-ages festival will feature a vendor market, live music, loteria, crafted drinks, food vendors and more. Attendees can also bring pairs of socks for a donation drive aimed to help school-aged children, according to CW39 Houston.
The festivities will take place at Giant Texas Distillers off of Clinton Drive. Secured parking is available for $10.
713 Day at Saint Arnold Brewing Company | Monday, July 13
713 Day festivities at Saint Arnold Brewing Company north of downtown will include available merchandise such as limited-edition shirts, stickers and tattoos.
The brewery is also planning to serve a purple frozen cider in a nod to the event's roots in Houston's hip-hop culture.
Starting at 4 p.m., four separate live music performances featuring mariachi, jazz and hip-hop will begin.

713 Day at Meow Wolf Houston | 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday July 13
Meow Wolf Houston's Radio Tave, a family-friendly art museum located in the Fifth Ward, will be offering limited-edition merchandise, interactive art experiences and special food and beverage options on 713 Day.
The event will also include live music from Houston-based online radio station Ice House Radio from 7-10 p.m.

Admission for ages 13 and up ranges from $38 to $41 depending on the entry time selected. Entry for children ages 4-12 is $19 to $21, while tickets for veterans and service members are $33 to $36 each.

HTOWN 713 Day Street Market | 4-9 p.m. Monday, July 13
The Daniel Hinojosa Hospitality Group is hosting a free night market on 713 Day at The Esplanade on Navigation Boulevard.
The event will include local shop vendors, food, local art, live music and DJ performances, and more.
713 Day Film Event | 6-9 p.m. Monday, July 13
The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston will present a special screening of "Reality Bites," a 1994 romantic company filmed in Houston. Ben Stiller directed and starred in the film alongside Ethan Hawke and Winona Ryder.
Attendees who arrive around 6 p.m. can attend the cocktail reception at the Kinder Building. The screening will begin at 7 p.m. in the Brown Auditorium Theater at the museum's main building.
Parking will be available at the Kinder and Glassell garages.
Admission for ages 21 and up is $39, and tickets for MFAH members are $34 each.
713 Day at Bar By The Wayside | 7:13 p.m. Monday, July 13
Starting at 7:13 p.m. Monday, Bar By The Wayside will be offering Houston-inspired cocktails and vinyl DJ music.
The Second Ward bar will also be unveiling several murals in honor of the late DJ Screw.
POST Houston | 7:15-8:15 p.m. Monday, July 13
The Skylawn at POST Houston is hosting Houston Frequency: A 713 Day Community Sound Meditation led by local artist Reginald Adams.
According to POST Houston, attendees are encouraged to bring a yoga mat or blanket, a water bottle and comfortable clothing.
Tickets for all guests are $26 each and are available for purchase on the official POST Houston webpage .
713 Day at Houston Zoo | 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, July 11-Monday, July 13
The 713 Day Weekend celebration at the Houston Zoo will feature discounted tickets for $7.13 for all guests.
For $35, guests can also purchase the 713 Day Ballcap bundle which includes a limited-edition 713 Day hat, an admission ticket to the TXU Energy presents Mythical Realms temporary exhibit, and free admission for one carousel ride.

Houston Botanic Garden | 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday, July 12-Monday, July 13
The Houston Botanic Garden will be offering $7.13 daytime admission tickets Sunday and Monday.

Typhoon Texas Waterpark | 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday, July 13
On Monday, the first 713 guests at the Typhoon Texas Waterpark will be able to purchase tickets for $7.13.
Select food and drink items will be $7.13 throughout the day, and the festivities will include live music and face painting.
