An Uber driver who allegedly assaulted a passenger near Logan Airport on Friday was arrested in Lowell on Sunday, police said.

Leonard Bacon, 23, of Lowell, will be charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury, State Police said Sunday.

According to State Police radio transmissions recorded by Broadcastify, the passenger, a male, was stabbed five times and suffered a head injury.

The spokesperson said Bacon’s “access to the Uber platform” has been suspended.

“Our specialized team has been in touch with law enforcement, and we will continue to do whatever we can to support their investigation,” the spokesperson said.

Bacon is scheduled to appear Monday in East Boston District Court, police said. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
