Woman, 60, fatally stabbed in Queens domestic incident; cops searching for woman who fled scene
A 60-year-old woman was fatally stabbed on Saturday afternoon in Queens and cops are searching for a woman believed to be related to the victim, police said.
Responding officers found Ausha Ramlakhan with slash wounds to her neck and shoulder when they arrived at her home around 3:27 p.m. at 128th St. and Liberty Ave. in South Ozone Park.
Ramlakhan’s husband, Wazir Osman, 67, came home from his job as an NYC Transit construction maintainer to find blood on the steps outside his home.
Inside, his wife lay on the floor, her body covered with slash wounds.
“It happens.
I mean, I just didn’t think it would happen to me,” Osman said.
“My wife was so peaceful, you know?
My first reaction was to see if she was still alive.
Nope, she was starting to feel cold already.”
EMS medics pronounced her dead at the scene.

Ramlakhan and Osman were married for 42 years, having one daughter and three grandkids.
“My wife don’t work,” he said.
“My wife is a stay-at-home mom.
I mean, she literally took care of me.”
A woman known to the victim fled on foot after the slashing and police are searching for her, according to the NYPD.
“[I’m] miserable.
I’m not sure I can survive this,” Osman said.
“But I need to for the grandkids.”
